1. Why photography takes place
Photography may take place during the 2026 IADR Irish Division Annual Scientific Meeting to document the scientific and professional activities of the Division and to communicate about the meeting.
Selected images may be used on the Irish Division website, social media channels, reports, presentations and communications about current or future meetings.
2. General event photography
General photographs may include speakers, poster sessions, audiences, networking activities, prize presentations and group scenes. The Irish Division may rely on its legitimate interests in documenting and promoting a professional scientific meeting, provided those interests are balanced against the privacy rights of attendees.
3. Close-up and posed photographs
Where a photograph focuses closely on a particular individual or is specifically posed for promotional use, the organiser or photographer may ask for agreement before taking or using the image, where appropriate.
4. Children and vulnerable attendees
If any attendee is under 18 or requires additional privacy protection, organisers should take particular care before capturing or publishing identifiable images and should obtain appropriate permission where required.
5. Publication and retention
Selected photographs may be retained as part of the historical record of the Irish Division. Images should not be kept or reused where doing so is no longer appropriate, necessary or lawful.
6. Concerns or removal requests
If you have a concern about an image in which you appear, or would like the Irish Division to consider removing an image from a channel under its control, contact IrishDivisionIADR2026@outlook.com. Requests will be considered in light of the context, the purpose of publication and applicable data protection law.
